  18. it will make its IPX/SPX transport services applications program

  20. interface (API) available to end-users and third-party software
  21.  
  22. developers.  The InterConnections IPX/SPX API is a standalone product
  23.  
  24. for programming customized NetWare-VMS connectivity solutions.

  26.      Internet Packet Exchange/Sequenced Packet Exchange (IPX/SPX) is
  27.  
  28. the Novell-proprietary transportation protocol used to exchange data
  29.  
  30. between the network server and client workstations on a NetWare
  31.  
  32. network.  The InterConnections API permits data to be exchanged
  33.  
  34. between a VAX server and a client PC LAN.

  36.      InterConnections, based in Bellevue, Wash., is a seven-year-old

  38. developer specializing in connectivity software for PC LANs operating

  40. on Novell NetWare and DEC VAX minicomputers operating on VMS.  The
